Port Macquarie Garden Club

Friendship through Gardening

Presidents Message

Hello and welcome to our web page.

If you have an interest in everything green, then you have come to the right place.  At Port Macquarie Garden Club you can be sure of a warm welcome, a shared interest, and a club that also likes to socialize.  The motto of Garden Clubs Australia with which we are affiliated, is "Friendship through Gardening", and we enthusiastically follow this mantra.  A green thumb is not a necessary prerequisite, just a love of flowers, shrubs and greenery.

We also have a facebook page: Port Macquarie Garden Club | Facebook

What we do

On the 2nd Tues of every month we meet at the Salvation Army Hall; 110 Lord St Port Macquarie at 1.15 pm. Visitors very welcome.

On the 3rd Tues we:

This months activities

Next meeting:   Tuesday, 10th March.  This is our Annual General meeting.  Nominations have already been received but can be taken from the floor as well.  To vote you must be a financial member.

Next outing:  The next outing is unusual, as it will take place on Saturday 14th March.  This is because the Bellingen Plant Fair is taking place on this date and its a great one to visit.  Those who wish to go with the group, as part of the carpooling, will meet out at the Donut on the highway at 8.00am to leave by 8.15am in convoy.  Those going will enjoy the fair, grab some bargains I'm sure, then the plan is to drive to Urunga for lunch before heading home again.  It will be a fabulous day.  Car pooling is a terrific way to get to know others in the club and those who have experience this always express their pleasure in the company.  We usually suggest if you are travelling with a group that a small contribution of $5.00 be offered to the driver.
